How do I get my ebook after I buy it?
A download link is emailed to you automatically as soon as your payment clears, usually within a minute. The link also appears on the order confirmation page. If it hasn't arrived in ten minutes, check your spam folder, then get in touch and we'll send it directly.
What format are the ebooks in?
PDF and EPUB, both included in the same purchase. The PDF reads well on a computer or tablet and prints cleanly. The EPUB works on Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books and most e-readers, and reflows to your font size.
Can I have it read aloud to me?
Yes. The EPUB is built as proper text with a full table of contents, so any read-aloud tool can speak it and jump between chapters — Speak Screen and VoiceOver on iPhone and iPad, TalkBack on Android, Read Aloud on a Kindle, or your computer's built-in narrator.
Use the EPUB for this, not the PDF. PDFs are laid out to be looked at, and screen readers make a mess of them. The EPUB is the accessible one.
To be clear about what this is: it is your device's own voice reading the text. It is not a recorded audiobook with a narrator.
The EPUB will not open on my iPhone
That is iOS being awkward rather than anything wrong with the file. Safari saves the download into Files, and tapping it there often shows a blank page or does nothing at all.
Open the Files app, go to Downloads, press and hold the .epub, choose Share, then choose Books. It opens straight away and stays in your library.
If you would rather not bother, the PDF opens on an iPhone with a single tap. You get both formats, so use whichever is less trouble.
How long are the guides?
Long enough to be worth reading and short enough to finish. Every product page gives the real page count and the full chapter list before you buy, so you never have to guess what you're paying for.
Can I print an ebook or read it on more than one device?
Yes. It's your copy. Read it on your phone, your laptop and your e-reader, and print it if you'd rather hold paper. Just don't redistribute or resell it.
Do I need an account to buy?
No. You can check out as a guest. Your download link is emailed to whatever address you enter at checkout, so make sure it's one you can actually open.
Can I buy from outside the United States?
Yes. There's nothing to ship, so everything is available worldwide with no customs and no postage.
One honest note: some guides cover country-specific things, like how to freeze your credit. Where that's the case the product page says so plainly, and it tells you which chapters apply anywhere.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final once the file has been downloaded, because a file can't be handed back. But if it's broken, won't open, or isn't what the product page described, you get a full refund — and accidental duplicate purchases are refunded no questions asked. The full policy is on the refunds page.
